wonner14
Hi, I recently purchased this 1732 rouble from an antique dealer and have a slight doubt towards its authenticity, mostly because I got it at 1/6th its market value. The weight is spot on at 25,85 and the ring test sounded like silver, but still I have some doubt. If someone with more knowledge could help me with my authenticity problem that would be greatly appreciated.

IgorS
From the picture I do not see any issues with aithenticity. It looks real. I am not sure what you used as market value, but to me this coin in today's market should cost ~$250.

At a recent auction in Finland this coin in roughly the same condition sold for 350 euros, yes this seems a bit high to me to but after viewing some other auctions 300-350 euros seemed common. but 250 usd sounds more realistic to me. Thanks for your help.

gxseries
It's still possible to buy coins at that price assuming if the dealer doesn't know what he is selling or can't be bothered and there are not much demand of Russian coins in your area. Nice buy and congradulations. Welcome to coinpeople by the way
