Dave M
http://www.numiscollection.fr/ Anyone shop with them? Thanks Dave
Scottishmoney
No, but I signed up for their site and get tonnes of snail mail from them. They do seem to be a good source of 1940's and 1950's notes, and even have some choice earlier materiel.
Dave M
Thank you - I'll chalk that up as a partial thumbs up Dave
Scottishmoney
I will like to buy from them and try them out, but €30000 for the 1897 Flameng note is more than I want to spend on paper money at the moment. They really do mail out nice catalogues, and have a very easily navigable website and I think the prices and grading are reasonable. There are definitely some nice high end French notes on there, at some point I am going to buy the Genie Francaise and Terre et mer notes for my collection. They also have high end European materiel, I have liked the Portuguese and Spanish notes they have had also.
Dave M
That Flameng note is a proof, if you didn't notice. I would love to have it too! I will probably order a thing or two from them, hopefully it will work out. Thanks Dave
Scottishmoney
Oh yes, I knew it was a proof and not an issued note. But it is beautiful, along the lines of the 5000 FF from 1918, you know what I mean
