Item description: Bank Notes of Republic of China printed by Treasury Departme .

The bank note was currency with interest rate printed by Treasury Departme of Republic of China. The par value was five Yuan. Treasury Department of Republic of China issued the currency for the reason of lack of military expenditure. In fact it's a way to get money from common people. The Treasury Department would pay interest by the currency note per month. The coupon sheets were used as counting interest.

The seal means the note was called back and the status was cancellation.
