TomD Posted February 21, 2008 Report Share Posted February 21, 2008 To commemorate the 125th anniversary of the birth of the mechanical engineer János Adorján, the pioneer of aviation in Hungary. On the obverse of the collector coin the engine and part of the propeller of the Libelle aeroplane designed by Adorján are depicted, while on the reverse there is the aeroplane itself with the legend “JÁNOS ADORJÁN, DESIGNER OF THE FIRST SUCCESSFUL HUNGARIAN AEROPLANE”.
