What books would you suggest for further study of Celtic staters, etc.?
bill
Yes indeed. 1st century Celtics intrigue me. What books would you suggest for further study of Celtic staters, etc.? A good general survey is: Coinage in the Celtic World by Daphne Nash. Another, more detailed, collect lecture notes that delves more deeply into selected topics is The Coins of the Ancient Celts D. F. Allen (actually edited and published by Daphne Nash after his death). Other volumes concentrated on the British Isles in general (not my area) or more specialized topics ranging from catalogs to in depth studeies on a particular series.
