dbrh
Just to say 'hello' to all. My passion is finding error coins, but as far as collecting goes, my favorites are toned Lincoln cents.

corkykile
Hello and welcome. Lincolns were my first love in collecting, and probably will remain that way. Check out the US Coppers Forum on CP. Go to the topic '1957 Lincoln Cent Obv' and its partner next to it. This copper had some naturally acquired toning but was exceptionally dirty so I cleaned it with baking soda and boiling water and it came out like you see it. I have toned coppers this way unintenionally when I cleaned them so I could see what is under all that scrunge and debris. Some will not stay toned if handled a lot, but some just glow and stay that way. Have a great time on CP! Corky
