RW Julian
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=140151847173 The obverse has a St. Petersburg mintmark while the reverse has the Moscow mintmaster. The reverse is definitely a modern die and the obverse likely also. The seller was notified that the piece was false but ignored the message. RW Julian
Sold to the "lucky winner" for $214.50 plus shipping. It gets better. The winner has long been a seller of fakes although for some time he has correctly labelled them as copies. One has to wonder if there is more to this sale than meets the eye. Oldman
Another obvious fake: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...I:IT&ih=020 The seller tries to hide the fact that this jeton is missing 1 out of 4 grams of weight which is very unusual for these small coins/jetons !
