Vfox Posted June 5, 2007 Report Share Posted June 5, 2007 I got this coin in a junk bun, it was covered in what appears to be the same kind of corrosion that zinc goes through. I cleaned it (Shudders), and this is what I found underneath. It appears to be copper coated with my guess is zinc. My guess is it was a counterfiet made to look silver. But I don't know enough about Russian coins to say for sure. Please have a look at the photos and let me know what you think it is. Thanks!
