Scottishmoney
All of the Russian notes save the 5.000 Ruble are Shipov rubles, which were the last ruble notes printed in the Tsarist regime, and also printed in huge numbers during the provisional government and briefly during the Soviet regime. The larger denominations are State Credit notes, whilst the 1 Ruble etc notes are State Treasury notes. The 5.000 Ruble note is a White issue note, issued by the forces opposed to the Communists during the Civil War of 1917-1923.

De Orc
Sorry but forgot to ask what would be classed as a High value note in that period? (State Credit notes) would the 25R upwards be in that catergory? Again Many Thanks for this info
