Grant Ness
...from 1981. No sleeve, just the case. The coins are still mirror finish mint. I'm going to hang on to this, but any ideas of it's worth, just out of curiosity?
Mark Stilson
Buy now on ebay 6.50 to 10.00 redbooks at 9.00 . Unless its a "Clear" S mint mark. then $350 redbooks at $400 The 6.50 was one with out a sleeve.

However I was able to scan the set, but the quality is iffy. Can anyone explain what a clear mint mark is?
cladking
It's the dollar that's critical in this set and I can't tell from the picture. There's also a steep premium for the set if they are all type 2's since most of these are mixed. The type 2 has the top of the S further from the body and more bulbous. Grant Ness
Here is a link showing the clear and worn mint marks. It's really hard to tell on the actual set without a magnifying glass. I might take it to a local coin shop and have them have a look.
