Corina Posted March 27, 2007 Report Share Posted March 27, 2007 Well bought this 1921 Brasil 50 reis a year ago and saw that in between the I and the S in Reis was what looks to be a peice of metal , the piece of metal is connected to the I what is this error called and how did it happen? belg_jos Posted March 27, 2007 Report Share Posted March 27, 2007 Looks like a die chip. A tiny piece that breaks away between 2 letters. That is a fragile part of a die.
