jlueke
Blank planchets aren't typically all that rare. Is it harder for them to happen after the lettering is applied?
Dockwalliper
Edge lettering is applied after the obverse and reverse design strike.
thedeadpoint
Cool. So does that mean that coin is worth at least $2500 on the market?
Burks
Cool. So does that mean that coin is worth at least $2500 on the market? I wouldn't doubt it. Although the "Godless" error coin prices are dropping (a lot actually), this will just bring the craze back. My dad JUST called me about this. Kind of neat error. Mark Stilson
I don't think it has been mentioned here. But there is also one out with an extra curl of hair from the Denver mint. Had to edit this just spotted one from Philadelphia.
Dockwalliper
This can be identified as a faceless Washington Dollar. Any found in the future will just be faceless President dollars.
UncleBobo
This error coin is an improvement over the regular design.
just carl
My opinion is they all should look like that. I just don't like those little things. To me a dollar coin is big, heavy and liked by all.
