tabbs
Hehe, the television coins have been discussed in the News. Well, except for the Tesla commems I find those issues ... hmmm ... Color TV coins? Pipeline?? 41th anniversary??? Here is another series of issues which I have or will soon have. Just the base metal version though; the gold and silver pieces are 2000 and 200 kroner respectively. To commemorate the 200th anniversary of Hans Christian Andersen's birth (1805) the Danish Mint issues a series of five coins. Two came out last year, one was issued earlier this year, one comes in a few weeks ... and another one (don't know about the design/theme yet) follows later. The coins refer to Andersen's fairy tales: (1) The Ugly Duckling (issued in March 2005) http://www.kgl-moent.dk/C1256B730054214F/s...aggrund_hoj.jpg (2) The Little Mermaid (issued in October 2005) http://www.kgl-moent.dk/C1256B730054214F/s..._soelv_blaa.jpg (3) The Shadow (issued in April 2006) http://www.kgl-moent.dk/C1256B730054214F/s...evers_soelv.jpg (4) The Snow Queen (to be issued on 30 August) http://www.kgl-moent.dk/C1256B730054214F/s...oelv_presse.jpg Each coin is issued in three different versions: in gold (Au 900, 22 mm), in silver (Ag 999, 38 mm) and in aluminum bronze like the 10 kr circulation coins (23.35 mm).
