  1. And finally a few coins my dad gave me which he found in a creek bank by an old burned out covered bridge in the Maryland area. He was digging for Native American artifacts when he came across these three, oddly enough he didn't find anything else. Not like he needs more arrow heads, lol, he has so many I'm surprised his house didn't start to sink into the ground, haha. I guess that's what happens when you are a novice archeologist for 40 years, lol.

    First was a farthing, I think it's a 1821:

Next was a George III half penny from 1773:

And finally a 1723 "dump" half penny:

  2. Next up is a version of a German coin I've wanted for a long time. I paid a Vf pricetag for this, and the pic online looked like a Vf-Xf, when I got it though, it was a great Unc, a little toning aside a great gem.

Next is a Canadian bank token:

Next is a pair of 2003A $1 FRN's with a matching repeater and radar serial number.

Finally keeping in line with all the colonial junkers I've been buying lately, a George II half penny, and a rather nice George III half penny.

  3. I got some stuff today, I'll post pics tonight. :ninja:

    *EDIT*

Ok here is what I got recently.

First is Marvins half of a trade I did with him:

    A nice 2007 Euro set

And also a gift from him, a set of 5 pfennig's from German 1915-1922! Very cool!

  4. I also found a neat import/export place local to me that gets stuff from time to time. They have a whole bunch of lesser known circulating currencies for dirt cheap. Saving up for a big buy there later.

If they happen to get any Zambian currency for cheap, gimme a yell. :ninja:

  5. The largest denomination US note in my collection would currently be my small sized $20 gold seal and the two National currency $20's. I used to own a few $50, and a 1970's $100 star note, but those have all seen to way of ebay, or Jeff, lol. :ninja: I only collect 1's and 5's, so other than the three $20 the only thing I want is a silver cert $10, and a N.Africa $10. (I guess all the hawaii issues too, lol) 1's have been my passion lately, and as most of you know I finally completed my typeset, so now I have to work on all the different series A,B,C, and so on, lol. ;) That will take a while....especially the 28E Oi! *Goes to relieve Thedeadpoint of his*

  6. Those are the kind of notes people only normally read about, and see pics online or in books. It's not too often you meet someone who actually owns one. It's like meeting someone with a 2-3 digit large sized note, or an Unc black eagle star note, it's just not very common! My collection is a drop in the bucket when you start comparing it to yours Jeff, lol. Now all I need to do is meet someone who has a full set of $100 notes from the earliest large sized to current, lol. :ninja:

  7. Read the fine print, it's probably an "approval service" that will send you over priced coins by approval, and if you don't cancel and send them back in time you'll be charged for them. I think Littleton does this too don't they? "Standing liberty quarter for $1 and we will send you other great coins for approval each month" kinda stuff.

  8. Oh yeah, I thought about doing that, but then again I really only hoard non-US notes, so I just get one nice example of each. Btw, I lost 4 more auctions for a Au+ green eagle this week, woot. :ninja: I am looking at several online now, but I am probably going to lose those too, lol.

  9. 7-7-07 was a heck of a lucky day.

I finally found my first web-press note after searching through more than $30,000 in $1 notes over the last 2 months.

It's not a nice one, but it IS one! Whoo hoo! The odd part is I knew there was something odd about it even before I saw it was a web-press. The color is much thinner, and the note has no embossing at all, it looked out of place, and it certainly was!

  10. dude i would only say a few words x< UR THE KING OF FINDING COIN'S AT BARGIN PRICES XD

Haha, well, I do get lucky sometimes, I do my best to give more than a dealer would if I buy from an individual, but from ebay, I am a low-balling king, lol.
