  3. Don't know what the thinking was behind that one, but I can ask the president of the state group what was the idea behind it. We trade these and wooden nickles that are from coin dealers in Mich.
  4. Here is one for all you trekkies on a quarter And another interesting elongated on a US .02 cent piece. I love the clear imprint on the reverse of the coin show info.
  5. Does anybody remember these and does anybody either collect them of have them laying around? I had a bunch at one point, but I think my mother pitched them, like she did with the trading cards, comic books and some other items when I was in the navy. It seems that the only stuff that wasn't junk was what she wanted to save. They were sent out by the DAV Disabled American Veterans From 1941 to 1976. If you want to get rid of them PM me.
  6. Four local to me souvenir half and dollar tokens in Macomb and Oakland county Michigan
  7. A couple of lucky penny pieces. And a copper round casino dollar
  8. This is one of those commercial businesses that try to hide be hide an Official sounding names. Googling it shows that it has 1to4 employees and the web site lists under a dozen dealers. and a link to their book sales which are one of those Amazon partner deals. I think they sell/sold series of medals. The second one is a branded arcade token with the coke name on one side and the local arcade on the other!
  9. Two elongated nickles from the state coin club, some times the backs are more interesting.
  10. Here are 3 coin club related wood nickles and a good for trade one. This is a great looking woody! Here is one that comes from an interesting location/name place.
  11. A couple from local coin dealers two older ones and a more recent one
  12. I don't think so, at least with my limited fondling of them I didn't notice anything.
  13. Well these were about $15.00 a set of 6 or 7, and singles about $2.00/3.00 each I haven't gotten around to going to that mints web site Presston mint inc. https://presstonmint.com/
  14. Monthly gun show this weekend, went on set up day Friday. They had a new vendor there selling end of days stuff including a large assortment of copper rounds. At reasonable prices compared to the others that sell them. I had over heard two guys at a friends table. Talking about the Nam collectors round and POW round the one guy got and his buddy didn't have. so I went over to the guy that was selling them when the guy told his buddy which one. I picked up a couple of series. I will post them over the next couple of days.
  15. With only a 6 year span I would say that it is a good bet that two things are true about it. same people/group had it made and probably used same maker/minter. Nice looking item.
  16. Two nice ones related to the two important dates dealing with the twin towers.
  17. You think it could be a little bigger so it wouldn't get lost in the grass
  18. I get the idea from the guy and his father that have the LCS. That there might not be other token collects around other then the "High Dollar" ones he has in the books. But it works for me!
  19. Here are a couple more from the last bargain bin diving. Same both sides, about the size of a nickle. Have no idea what it is used for, not being a golfer. You would think with what they charge the could have something that wouldn't get lost in a pocket! For all the Edison fans, I'm a Tesla man myself! I guess this was an award for the person that sold the most toilet paper back in the day!
