I got a 1965 Kennedy.

Yesterday I got a 2006 Redbook from Art along with 100 intis, a 2005 leather bound Redbook from NGC and a token from the WCC/PNNA show in Portland. There is a gentleman that exhibits at most of the northwest coin shows that hand strikes tokens for the shows, and I e-mailed him and asked for one since I can no longer attend those shows being 2400 miles away. I received the token yesterday and his other tokens were mostly dime sized with historically based designs (one year it was a pine tree shilling, etc.) and this year the coin was tiny! He wrote a description, and it was based on an ancient design of an athena head from the 3rd century BC. In the photo I put it next to a Dutch 10-cent so you can see how tiny it is! Very neat!

Fast delivery of a 2006 Redbook plus 100 Intis! Thanks Art!

Well, after buying that MacArthur 50-centavo at the coin show last Saturday I got the bug and bought a 2-coin set off eBay which arrived yesterday. It came with what might be the original packaging, but I am not sure. It's basically a paper folder with two celophane windows for the coins that tell a little about them, like the mintage (100K for the 1-poso, 200K for the 50-centavo). The back of the folder has a PO Box address in Manila. Anyhow, the coins are fabulous and the packaging was just an extra bonus!

After months of waiting I finally got my Marine Corps unc. silver dollar yesterday! It's a very pretty coin, and pretty nice quality (though they had long enough to make a nice one!). I also went to my coin club meeting last night and won an auction lot of 5 WLH! Overall a pretty good day!

Fast payment as always! Thanks Art!

Gadzooks! The last time I got a silver quarter in change it was 1995! Though today I got a Kansas quarter and a 1957 nickel in change from lunch.

Cool coin! S = San Francisco?
Yes, this one is not listed in the Philippine section of the redbook, but I believe it was minted in San Francisco. It's a very pretty coin and not very expensive.

Well, it wasn't the mailman, but I picked up this coin at the local show today. There was really nothing there I wanted, but I saw this one in a big book of foreign coins at one dealer's table and I couldn't resist.
-
The mailman hasn't come yet, but I got an e-mail saying my Marine Corps dollar was shipped! I only ordered it August 15th!!!

This may seem like a dumb question, but considering us Yanks aren't allowed to have post-1959 Cuban currency, is the modern stuff of clad/base metal composition?

Always lightning fast with payments, thanks Art!

I have an old Canal Bank $20, and a North Carolina $2 which are as close as I have to confederate money. My latest purchase was 4 old $20 bills, series 1950, 1950 A and two 1950 B. I will likely place the duplicates up in the auction forum this weekend.

I've used them before, they are a snap type holder. I used to buy them from my local coin shop in Portland, but I don't know the name of the company that makes them.

I just set up a registry set for my bust halves, there aren't many of them, but the ones that are there I like! Bust Halves Set

O-mints are tough, but this one looks a little baggy to me, so I said MS-62. It's a very nice one though!
-
I would say PR-66, but I am not sure the reverse has enough contrast for a CAM.

Do you have all the S-mint Franklins?
-
I got a 1941 penny at the gas station yesterday.
-
I just got a signed copy of the Complete Guide to Mercury Dimes, Second Edition by David Lange.
-
Draped bust large eagle.

I got two wonderful Walking Liberty halves from a trade with Bobby, and then I went to my local coin club meeting and won a 1922-S silver dollar in the raffle, bought 2 Barber quarters from another member (1902 and 1907) and I bought a 1907-O Half dollar in the auction!
-
Oh man, I love Franklins in general- but that one is really nice!! It is as if the full moon is slowly becoming a new moon again with that rim toning.
Yes, I bought that one a couple years ago just because I like the rim toning. The reverse is blast white:
