  1. i have seen many collectors get scammed by legit looking errors that were made to trick people, and every once in awhile one does find a legit error in their change or whatever

    but buying errors online or from others is a gambling game you never know what you may or may not get, so my best advice is to research the coin and see what types of errors are known to the coin world and go from there

     

     

  2. coins, banknotes, tokens all have a margin for errors happening as there are millions minted and printed each day so the margin of errors happens increase with each time high tech has not cut down on that margin of errors very much

    yeah one can find minor to major errors in coins and banknotes but the bad thing is sometimes these errors are made on purpose by workers looking for extra money or whatever, plus if made illegally there are many legal issues to deal with

    so finding errors can be a guessing game as to was it a mistake or done on prupose

  3. well seems there is a small die chip in the mintmark

     

    you would need to look for strong doubling in the words IN GOD WE TRUST for large date

    and for small date look for strong doubling in the words UNTIED STATES OF AMERICA , E PLURIBUS UNAM and ONE CENT

    that is the only way to tell
