i dont collect commemeratives but some are real koool
-
That would be nice too. I'd go for that.
-
Or have a Dollar and a Half for each issue. More options for the collector. Maybe they could do something like Dollar in proof and half in unc and then alternate on each new issue.
-
Y'know I actually think it's weird that they don't do more halves. We do 2 commems a year why not one dollar and one half?
-
Nice half dollars. I like the half dollar commems as a follow-on to the original commem program. Many people do not realize that most of the original commemorative were Half Dollars.

James Madison Bill of Rights Commemorative Half Dollar

First Flight Commem Half Dollar.

The Marshall is really nice. It appears to be very high quality. I'd guess we're talking PF69 / MS69. Of course coming out of the Mint they should be 69/70 grade coins.

Today's arrival
That's a nice coin. These used to be dirt cheap. But from what I read the interest in them has picked up considerably. -
I haven't popped in this thread in a while. Nice recent purchases. I like that new JM commem too!

The first of 2005:

Picked it up real cheap. I like the toning, could live without the rim knock, but it was really cheap.
-
I like the Washington/Carver...I think it and the Booker T. Washington both seem to get a bad rap because they came out 15 to 20 years after the big frenzy of the earlier ones.

Wow, I concur that your wife knows how to pick coins! Does she actually collect?
-
Inhertance would suffice for me.
-
Well, it's obvious that she has great taste...look who she married.
As for adopting...you may have to wait about 13 years. She still has 39 commems to complete my set.

:crazed: WOW! Your wife has not only picked up some commems with great designs but some VERY NICE samples!! Hmmmmmmmmmm, think she might adopt me?
-
I like the Texas reverse but the obverse doesn't really do anything for me.

My last one...(at least until my birthday in June) 1936 Rhode Island

1920 Pilgrim...This was the second one she gave me.

No, Tif, not yet. I haven't been married long enough. But I do have several.
