  1. Hi everybody,

     

    Mexico will issue 4 new $100 bimetallic coins, with a silver center and an aluminum-bronze ring. The themes will be the following:

     

    1.- 400th ann. of Don Quijote

    2.- 80th ann. of foundation of Banco de Mexico

    3.- 470th ann. of Casa de Moneda de Mexico

    4.- 100th ann. of 1905 Monetary Reform

     

    The first one will be issued until december 2006 (design is below):

    I don't know the issue date of the others, but the designs look promising:

    2.- Independence Angel

    4.- design of C&R pesos

    PICTURE

     

    There will be also other commemoratives of silver:

    6th Iberoamerican Series - Historic Buildings

    Bicentenary of Benito Juarez

    Mexico's participation in soccer world cup (2 coins)

    And the previous listed 4 themes will also have the silver version.

  2. I have noticed that its easy to get low and facy serial numbers from India and Lithuania, I don't know why but if you browse through ebay you will find many, specially from India, I've got a 000006 and a 0000056 from those countries.

     

    Around a year ago a US $20 note was sold at ebay with the number 12345678, below is the image:
