gxseries
Finally I found a 1730 Anna ruble up for bid as I wanted to find out a rough idea of the value of my ruble. But... are early Anna rubles scarce or because it is a scarce variety or because of the "K" mark? Link I guess if I am lucky, my ruble is worth quite a fair bit... grivna1726
1730 seems to be one of the less common dates for Anna's rubles. 1732-34 and 1737-39 show up more often. I'm not sure why this one has gone so high. While it is an acceptable coin for its type in terms of condition, it is not a spectacular example. Maybe this has been bid up by people wanting to complete a date run for Anna but are missing the scarcer 1730 date. Or maybe it's something else that the bidders see about this coin that has escaped my notice. Or maybe it's just auction fever. The prices are changing so rapidly these days that it's hard to keep up with them.
