jlueke
This is the design of this year's €2 commem from San Marino (not available at face value though). It commemorates Christopher Columbus who died 500 years ago: In a way I find the death commemoration kind of odd. The birth makes sense, but death? Are we happy he's gone? If we were so happy about that, we would not issue any coins to commemorate him. Christian

tabbs
Cool! The Finnish design looks sober but interesting ... will hopefully soon get one too. The coin from San Marino is also nice, but the obverse is a mix of a very full "pill" and an almost empty "ring". Will have to see the real thing before I know whether I like it or not.
