Scottishmoney
Bellefontaine National Bank, Bellefontaine, OH, series 1875, though dated 1871, date of the bank's founding by William Lawrence. This note is signed by Lawrence, whom them was also a United States Congressman. There are only three reported examples of First Charter notes from this bank, two $1's and a $10. This is a discovery note, and might quite possibly be unique, until this it was unknown in any collection.
thedeadpoint
I see boobies... I bet you couldn't get away with a pair of those on a modern bill or coin, even in tasteful ways like those above. Awesome notes though, SM. How do you go about having two possibly unique notes? Wouldn't they be worth a fortune?
Scottishmoney
They are worth a bit more because of it, I am looking to see if Heritage or Lyn Knight might be interested in auctioning them. They might be worth more to someone in those particular places than they are to me.
