Reverse: Frozen earth with roots of thorns; plant above ground producing peace, symbolized by 6 flowers for the 6 decades of peace. Edge: Plain NOTE: Part of the EUROPA program for 2005 -Eurostar symbol. Commemorates 60 years of peace since the end of World War II. Part of the EUROPA program among European mints for 2005 with the theme being "Peace and Freedom". The year and theme also fits with Finland's 50 years of membership in the UN (1955).
