28Plain Posted November 14, 2005 Report Share Posted November 14, 2005 Yeah, some uncirculated coins just have that effect in the luster, but dipping and rinsing can also leave spots. This applies to the light spotting like yours shows, but dark spotting is usually from a reaction to contact with something that causes toning.
