Sir Sisu
Yup that is a UK sovereign all right. Nice one too! Looks like he is fairly comfy on the carpet there. I have George on the half, so I still need this one. When is your "waiting period" up? It is gold, and about 4.5 million were struck. From the image, it appears to be very close to Unc with perhaps some storage rub. The obverse may have some wear, but I find that George always seems to give the appearance of a weak strike. Krause catalogues it at 130USD, but of course actual selling value will vary.
TheKidCollector
I'de love to own that coin!
whohah
Assuming that it is what it purports to be, it contains 0.2354 Troy oz. of fine gold. Therefore, to check its value just multiply the daily spot gold price by 0.2354 and you have its intrinsic value. If the spot price for gold is US$495.70, then it contains US$116.69 worth of gold.
