Burks
Well I got a new scanner a few days ago and have been playing around with it. My real problem is scanning coins in slabs. They come out pretty blurry and just not very good quality. Any tips of scanning these? How about scanning proof coins in 2x2's? Those come out with hardly any color and luster. LostDutchman
you should have bought a scanner that will scan in 3D
Blackhawk
I have no scanner, but have a heck of a time taking photos of slabbed coins. The lighting where I take the pictures is not good during the day, but there is too much reflection from the artificial lighting when I take photos at night to eliminate the glare off the plastic. I do best on encapsulated coins in natural light on cloudy days.
Blackhawk
I have heard that propping one end of a slab up about ¼" on the scanner bed helps.
Burks
you should have bought a scanner that will scan in 3D For $30 I didn't complain (70% off) plus it copies, prints, etc. If I can't scan slabs well then no big deal.
