ikaros
I thought they stopped releasing the Presidential dollars to the public from 2012 onward, but in the last two weeks, I've had a Cleveland, a Teddy Roosevelt, and a Wilson, all Denver mint. Weird. Anyone else seen any of these?
thedeadpoint
It has been years since I've seen one in circulation. Where do you see them?
ikaros
They came in a couple rolls of dollars I picked up at the bank. One two weeks ago, then two in one roll last week. The rest were mixed pre-2012 Presidentials, miscellaneous Sacagaweas, and the stray SBA.
ccg
Quite possibly collectors bought some rolls, and since the premium isn't much, picked out some nice ones and spent the rest. Â I have to give credit to the US mint for making the "non-circulation" $1 and halves, and also S-mint quarters, available at a reasonably small premium over face. ikaros
Are they still doing the uncirculated S quarters? I thought that was a one-off.
ccg
Both are still ongoing.  Current year "non circulating" $1 coins (P or D) are: 32.95 per roll / 25 (31.8% premium over FV) 111.95 per bag / 100 (12% premium over FV) 275.95 per box / 250 (10.4% premium over FV)  e.g. http://catalog.usmint.gov/native-american-2016-rolls-bags-and-boxes-MASTER_NA16RBB.html?cgid=native-american-coins http://catalog.usmint.gov/gerald-ford-presidential-2016-rolls-bags-and-boxes-MASTER_FORDRBB.html?navid=xsellhome  As for the ATB quarters You can get a roll of S-Mintmark circulation quarters at $18.95 And 100-coin bags (P, D or S) are $34.95  http://catalog.usmint.gov/shawnee-national-forest-2016-rolls-and-bags-MASTER_SHAWNEE.html?cgid=america-the-beautiful-quarters http://catalog.usmint.gov/cumberland-gap-national-historical-park-2016-quarter-rolls-and-bags-MASTER_CUMBERLANDGAP.html?cgid=america-the-beautiful-quarters
ikaros
Herbert Hoover dollar today. There must have been a release, I'm not that lucky.
Art1.2
I haven't even gotten any from the bank in ages. Ditto on half dollars. Maybe it's time to get a few rolls and see what I find.
Brandon746b
I think that this is the last year for the series, but as far as I know they are still being minted.
Art1.2
I believe they'll crank up production again when the tine criteria have been met.
