It's made of pewter which is hard wearing, but it shows signs of wear. The most obvious dates for a reissue would be 1888 or 1988. Does anyone have any info? Medal commemorating the defeat of the Spanish Armada, 1588. Obverse: Engagement of the fleets, above in clouds the name of Jehovah in Hebrew. Legend: 'FLAVIT [JEHOVAH] . ET . DISSIPATI . SVNT 1588' (He blew and they were scattered). Reverse: A church founded on a rock amid violent waves; shield of Prince Maurice of Orange below. Legend: 'ALLIDOR . NON .
