No doubt there are others here who can give a better answer or suggestions, but I think a light beige or yellow or possibly even a light blue might help the coins stand out more. gxseries Posted June 17, 2013 Report Share Posted June 17, 2013 I often use black as a background. I use a strong bright white desktop light. This is all I use which you can see at omnicoin It should work quite well for dark color coins. I struggle with copper coins with some traces of red or other type of coins with strong reflectively surfaces - this is something that I haven't perfected yet.
