rsraghead
This coin was left to me. I'm new to collecting, so I'm quite ignorant. This coin has a gritty looking finish on it. I know its a low relief but not much more.

Art1.2
Make sure that the pic is not too large. I think 200x200 is one of the considerations.
rsraghead
I have not been able to upload them. But if you would look on photo bucket, under rsraghead you can see pics. Please help me identify the finish. Thank you
BullseyeBullion
From what I understand, the only "true" matte 1922 Peace Dollars are the very rare and limited proofs of that year. I believe, however, that they were all struck in high relief, which is pretty easily discernible from low relief. A high relief is most easily compared by the 1921 issue, which were all struck in high relief. You can look at a 1921 and right away notice the way it jumps out, especially in the hair of the central area. Details are also usually much sharper. I am unable to view your pics but I hope this info may help you decide what you may have.
