The money man
Hi just after some info and a value of a 1970 royal Australian mint Canberra medallion in the case in mint condition. It is quite large and has all the Australian coins in circulation on one side and a building with canberra written on it on the other. I think it is made of bronze ? Please any info would be appreciated thanks in advance
gxseries
Photos would help. Would it happen to be like this?

The money man
That is it gx do you know what they might be worth and if they are rare and any info you might know about it I can't find much about it myself Thanks in advance
gxseries
When I bought it about 3 years ago, it was around 50 dollars or so. I wouldn't expect the price to dramatically drop or rise so I guess it's ok to assume that's around the ball park value of the medal? The money man
Thanks gx do you know if there was a commemorative reason behind it?
gxseries
It probably was one of the first few types of medals the RAM produced as the previous coins were struck in the UK or other mints. This particular medal had to be struck after 1969 as the original 1966 50 cents coins were round and struck in silver. I can't remember if this is actually right off the top of my head but I think that sounds about right. You might find some hints here - some photos that I took in Canberra mint about 5 years ago. http://www.gxseries.com/gallery/?dir=Canberra%20Mint07
Berneice
I have one of these coins, still in its box. What would they be worth now?
Zacca
I found this. I have one I bought in 1980 /81 I was told it’s worth between 60 and 100 from a dealer but I see on for sale 129 to 139 plus postage it’s called a token not a coin
