bill Posted November 20, 2010 Report Share Posted November 20, 2010 Not sure what you are referring to. There are two standard die orientations. If you rotate the coin along the 9 o'clock/3 o'clock axis and both sides face right way up, that's known as a medal turn. If the reverse is upside down, then you have a case of coin turn. I don't know how the 5 pence are supposed to be oriented, but I would guess they should be coin turn. If they are medal turn, then the dies were mis-aligned.
