jlrobi2
I recently acquired two silver hammered coins. I have not located any picture that matches them, and wonder if one of you members could help identify them.

cristoph
I think those are Poland or Sweden medieval coins - solidus / shiling. The first I think is mint in Riga ( Livonia).

Thanks Cristoph. I never would have found that. I managed to track some photos at http://128.192.145.172/dan35.html And i believe that you are absolutely right. I picked these up in a locat auction in England. Thanks again for all the help. Visit my collection pages at http://www.therobinsnestonline.com I am willing to trade items where I list more than one. I have LOTS of late 1800s and Early 1900s Englis coins, if you are interested. I'll have photos online for many of the coins in the near future. Thanks heaps Jim
