Ian Posted February 11, 2010 Report Share Posted February 11, 2010 The latest addition to my jeton collection is this scarcer jeton issued by the Chambre D'assurances de Rouen, one of the prominent maritime Assurers during the `Ancien Regime'. There are a number of jetons in the series dating from circa 1686 through to this one (the last in the series) which was struck in 1785. The Revolution saw the demise of this `well heeled' syndicate....and sadly, the series of jetons. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
