lekycoin Posted September 22, 2009 Report Share Posted September 22, 2009 This is very interesting... a French 10c (1948) has been 'stamped' in reverse (sorry don't know proper terminology) on an 1855 Napoleon III 5 centimes. And there is a third coin stamped on the 1855 coin - can't identify it.... How did this happen? If it was a real minting error the text would likely not be reversed. I would call this post-mint damage, not an error. It is pretty interesting though, thanks for sharing.
