ScottO
basically plucked this out of circulation a couple of months back as it had a great opff centre error on the reverse. i have heard of dye flaws being listed in catalogues that can increase values (extra 1946 PENNY . etc) http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=962897 (omni link to coin) no dot at the bottom on the obverse (supposed to be a dot between DEF and Elizabeth) the coin has no visible reason for this error the strike is fine, no fading of the lettering near the location to indicate wear. Have four 2008 £2 coins to hand - each has the dot between DEF and Elizabeth. Nice find!
ScottO
yea i have another 2, one has a faded dot, due to striking error, but it effects both sides of the coin and the letters near it. had a quick 2nd look at the no dot one, to rule out anything down there, (moved it so light didnt reflect into me) and saw its flat down there, there is no indentations or other bumps down there
