Nickels: 33.36 million from Denver and 36 million from Philadelphia were struck, for a total of 69.36 million coins Last year 640.6 million nickels were minted That is almost a 90 percent decrease! Dimes: 41.50 million in Denver and 78.50 million in Philadelphia were struck, for a total of 120 million coins. 1.05 billion dimes were minted last year, once again, like the nickels, almost a 90 percent decrease!
