Drusus
Dave Surber, creator and owner of Wildwinds, a site most ancient collectors know and love...a huge boone to us....passed away last Friday at the age of 49. He contributed so much to the hobby, he will be missed, and lets hope someone takes over the site because we all know wildwinds, from way back, has been one of the biggest aids to collectors. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...NSURBERDA14.DTL
thedeadpoint
Never used the site but I'm sorry to hear about that. Hopefully the family and all who loved him will be OK.
Hussulo
I've only used the site a couple of times as I don't collect ancients, but it is a terrific site much used by ancient coin collectors. I'm sorry to hear about his passing and at quite a young age. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

My sympathies to his family. and yes Wildwinds is an excellent site and it was a wonderful creation and contribution to make - it has been the first reference for ancients that I reach for - and for a novice like me it has been a goldmine
