ClearwaterCoins
I am looking at purchasing a complete 32 Eisenhower Coin set in a Dansco Album. They are asking 269.00 for the set. I am not sure if this is a good price or not. What is everbody's opion on this price? The set includes Brilliant Uncirculated coins and Gem Proof coins. Vfox
Seems a little high if you ask me. I have a full set without proofs and it only cost me like $60 in brilliant Unc. Most dealers have all of them in Unc for only a few bucks, the proof coins are the only ones harder to locate and none of them are above $15 except maybe the 73-S....and then again it is a silver proof. It shouldn't cost much over $200 to complete the set in Unc with proofs, you should just take your time and shop around; you should be able to complete it for much less than book price. Collecting over time and not purchasing a full set is half the fun, right?
numismatic nut
Sounds a tad high. But as vfox said, working at your collection is half the fin. (The other half is showing off a complet set.)
