gxseries
Was trying to look up for an extremely cheap priced original coin + problem-free and saw this: http://www.molotok.ru/item357311491_poltina_1798.html Doesn't look right to me. What do you think? Strange ... the part that usually gets worn off first are the little interior lines within the cross. I can't really say otherwise, except that it also doesn't "look right" to me. Have you ever bid (and won) anything on molotok before? You know that these old coins cannot legally be exported from Russia...
gxseries
Bobh, I'm using molotok as a price reference of what a typical Russian might be willing to pay for a low end. It just happens that I come to a discussion of how difficult it is to locate a Paul I poltina as I have one in holed condition, and even in F condition, it would cost quite a bit. I just needed some rough idea of what prices are these days. And yes, I'm sure it's not genuine from the looks of it.
