Dockwalliper
Congress in late February approved a technical amendment authorizing the U.S. Mint to strike 2008 Sacagawea dollars in their original designs. Origionally scheduled to be sold in rolls and bags starting January 17th the mint put a hold on them and all sets that would normally contain one because they determined they were not authorized to mint Sackie dollars dated 2008. Coinjoe2006
Well I'm glad that they got everything straightened out. I was beginning to wonder if it was going to affect the proof sets coming out in a few months.

Dockwalliper
I wonder if they will schedule the Sackie release along with the President coins. Say....Sackie in Jan, Prez's in March, June ,Aug, Oct. Or maybe the Sackie will be last because then they will know how many they need to mint to comply with the 1/5 law. Maybe the US Mint will purposely produce less pres dollars so they don't have to produce as many Sackies.
