Michigan Posted July 6, 2005 Report Share Posted July 6, 2005 I have some political satire notes from the 1972 election with Nixon, McGovern and George Wallace. also an older one from I think the 1880s. General Butler who was called "Beast Butler" for his treatment of the citizens of New Orleans during the Union occupation during the civil war is on the note. He might have been running on a minor party ballot or as a candidate for the Republican or Democratic nomination. I haven't researched it enough yet to be sure.
