Scottishmoney
Rediscovering my old banknote habit and coming up with a theme, attractive females, I notice that another theme is common that is they were depicted on art on the banknotes. For example: Julio Romero de Torres, famous Spanish painter. And the lovely reverse, which is apparently a blending of a couple of his works, with a theme that was common his work, a woman and a jug. This note from Denmark with Thorvaldsen: has his "Three Graces" on it. But one of my favourites is Albrecht Durer's Venetian Girl: A lovely and famous painting which may have been of one of his lovers. Another favourite, and probably my most favourite artist is Alphonse Mucha: Women, art and banknotes ~ a great combination.
