Burks
I'm going with a 66 and a no FB. Sweet I was right! Great looking coin btw. Wonder it would be now with the current PCGS grading standards? Not sure how those have changed on the Mercury Dimes.
syzygy
Sweet I was right! Great looking coin btw. Wonder it would be now with the current PCGS grading standards? Not sure how those have changed on the Mercury Dimes. Yep you nailed that one out of the box! I have no freaking idea of this would regrade at 66. Although it is in an older green PCGS slab, that one is not the 'rattler' slabs that folks sometimes say was during a more conservative era. Usually all that slabophrenia just gives me a headache. Burks
Yeah I know what you mean. Not sure if you read my purchases page but I just picked up a 1945 MS64 Mercury dime in the old rattler slab. I'd say it is spot on. The obverse has some marks on it, almost look like smudges on the metal.
