Commemorative medallion created for the 30th year of Cranach’s status as the senior castle captain of the Wartburg in 1924. Obverse: Bust right, with name and status in legend along perimeter. Reverse: Aerial view, looking south, of Wartburg castle with Wartburg helmet and crest, signified by the “flying snake” at 4:00 and 5:00 o’clock.
