I've just ordered my first book from Amazon and having read that i'm hoping like hell they don't lose it! £75 is alot to go missing... only another six weeks to wait before they can get hold of it and send it.
You needn't worry. Both myself and my postman were shocked that Amazon lost a package - it's never happened to either of us before.

This was wishful thinking. It got lost in the post, so Amazon are sending a replacement one which will take 10-11 days to order.
Finally it arrived today, after Amazon sent replacements. Looking forward to some bedtime reading

I ordered the 2006 Redbook in hardback. Should arrive in the next week or so.

Then there was that Cordial Entende £5 coin for 2004 another pile of trash.
I thought that reverse was rather good, especially when compared to the other spate of £5 coins.

The devices on the Greek made it a winner for me.

Also, I plan on ordering a Belomo loupe. From what I have read it is the best low-priced loupe out there. Any suggestions as to where I can order this inexpensively?
Thanks for your help!
Mine was a gift at Christmas. It came from Eyemagnify and I'm well satisfied with it. They do have a website but I think it's down.

I thought i post it in this part of the forum because generally this one gets most of the attention.
I've been looking all over for one of these and finally i find one. But what do you guys think? It's a Louis XVI 1/10 Ecu and is priced up at $270, give or take a euro or two. But i don't know a huge amount about these, for example the market value...
Oooh a powdered wig. Go for it.

WRONG!!!
Voltaire didn't collect banknotes, and obviously couldn't appreciate the aesthetic value of banknotes. For example. a random banknote in crisp UNC condition can lose all legal tender value in 50 years, but regains at least the value it had before simply because it is desirable.
By intrinsic value he means the value of the paper the note is printed on, which will probably be next to worthless. Coins on the other hand have a higher intrinsic value (due to being made out of metal) as they can be melted down and the metal sold.

the 1857...too much gold toning on the 1882. (Of course, I think that ANY gold coloring is too much!)
I don't think that's gold toning, but rather the full original lustre that's been captured badly on the camera.
Anyway, I voted for the 1857 model.

I think that the Forint is more interesting overall.

I actually have a laminated larger-size (70s) £1 note as a bookmark; bought it that way.
I've got a $1 bill that is residing in Orwell at the minute.

The Maklouf Obverse (1985-1997) No longer in use.
Isn't it still used on some Commonwealth and Overseas Territories coinage?

Anode Cathode ... Takes me back to a time when my brain used to work....
I always remember is as Cations are Pussytive (ie positive). Everything can be worked out from there.

I'd buy a laminated UNC as a cool filler or conversation piece
Or a bookmark :oP

Thankyou now if only I have something worth looking at.....
That's rather snazzy

There's something weird going on with Mr. Hall's ears; at some points, it looks like he has none.
Anyway, great video, I never realised they were so thorough.
