I must have a crappy digital camera, it won't take pics that close even with the zoom or macro features.
It could be that I don't know how to use it either.

Nice Tiffi, what are you using to get those nice clear pics?

I guess I'm an other too, but I will buy coins and notes just for a neet design. Just picked up a couple 50 cent pieces from Trinidad for no other reason that they looked cool, and being dirt cheap helps too.

Seated Liberty. It's the only one I have.

By those definitions, I am a generalist with a lot of hoarder thrown in.
Me too

A little of both, although I'm edging towards type with a US Type set going on and a Portuguese type set.

First started when I was 7 or 8(1973) lasted a couple years, then took 20 years off and got back into it in 1998.

Oh yeah...what's the point of proofs? I just don't get them.
Welcome aboard,
Do you like the look of your avatar? Well it's a proof if that helps

It's a case of economics. When I made a lot more money and had no children, it was highest UNC grade I could get. Now with 2 children and a much lower salary it's F-XF and I like it much better!
In fact my US type set(not finished) is in F-AU(moderns).
I've been seriously considering selling my UNC CC Morgans and replacing them with nice XF & AU coins.

Nice site, I'll like transportation tokens, although I don't have any.

Coin shows account for 69% of all coin purchases
Coinpeople 15%
Websites 15%
Ebay 1% if that, havent bought a coin off of ebay in a year

Hey and if you ebay em, post a link!

Agree with Stu, sold individually or year sets would bring more $$$.
More work but more dough. The last decade or 2 may be a tough sell.

What do you do now? Pretty honest dealer for reporting it.

Christmas 2005 Version == yes. I'm hoping that there will be a Christmas 2005 version. I was hoping to have a Cedis note from Ghana for 2005 but have not been able to connect with a source for a number of unc notes - cheaply.
Dan, do I have your address? Yes! I do. I'll send you a 50 Intis note.
Thanks Art!

A couple more purchases the some day I bought the Mexican peso

Nice, Beth.
I loved St Augustine when I visited last Nov. One thing that surprised me was the fountain of youth, I envisioned the large stone fountain with water bubbling and flowing from it.

What are they?

I haven't lost any either. Although when selling some proof sets recently I was checking my inventory of Silver, proof and mint sets and I am mysteriously missing 3- 2003 Mint sets. In my records I wrote down 3, but have no record of ever receiving them.
Think it's a case of I'm gonna order 3 mints sets, and never did...

OK, I won't tell Either

WTG Dan! Great pick-ups -- just hope those escudos are genuinos...
Good point, I thought the same thing. If they are not I'm out $2, which isn't too harsh. I'll take a look at they closely later.

I actually have 2 more banknotes from Portugal, the cost me .75 cents each. If I head into notes I'll likely have a strict theme, such as notes with railroads or just from Portugal.
But I'll probably just end up by stuff I find cool like I do with coins, so I'll have notes from everywhere.
How do you preserve your coins?

2 X 2 's and Dansco albums. Key dates I'll get certified.
