Oh brother!! This guy has been around awhile. Anyone familiar with ebay coins knows he'll jump out atcha when you least expect it. Whether your searching for 1/2 cents or $20 gold, he'll have one of his hideous Franklins in that catagory. You know, the guy's not fooling anybody, the vast majority of his auctions go for less than 1% (that's not a typo, 1%) of his advertised PCGS price. What irks me is that when something is advertised as FB or FBL, you'd think the guy would show the rev. of the piece. And Gallery grading? They aren't even included on sites that review the various companies. He has sold dozens of his $25,000. 1/2's though. High being $202. and low at about $5. Heck, some of his various denom. proofs from the '50's have gone for a nickle. (his no reserves)

Good eye, bigA. It's a shame it doesn't have just abit more diagnostics to convince PCGS, a 21 in P1 or even F2 in plastic would bring bigger $$ than a G4. Teaches you to spend some time at the bargain bins.

Case in point for why I never buy from the mint.  When they make a mistake, as any coin seller is apt to do, you have no recourse.  The mint isn't a business, it's a part of a federal bureau and, as such, is unaccountable for its errors.  The USPS is as unaccountable and as hard to deal with in the case of their errors, but I have little choice but to deal with them on a regular basis.

Recently at auction, someone had either a mint or proof set containing errors. The errors weren't the bidding draw, though. The mint had included the wrong COA, replaced it (so now it contains 2 COA's), and a HANDWRITTEN letter of apology. That in itself should be copyrighted. Anyone else catch that? Wonder what it closed at?

Many of what you'll find @ Jim's are 50% Mint issue. This isn't an ad, but check this stuff out. I don't recommened the coins, as far as price.

Crap, another toughie. While shes banged around abit, I don't subtract points. Very well struck, and breast feathers are prominent. I won't do any netting, but a solid 63, IMO, perhaps higher, if in hand.

Seeing how you can get yourself in hot water giving investment advice, let me just say I buy maybe 20 Morgans a month @ about $8. each for the BV, and as traders.

Sorry, but that's not MS anything, IMO. I saw the auction, and where it is now would be O.K. SGS is Star Grading Services, around for about 2 years.

By their own admission, this is a less than desireable piece, as it is RARE to find SGS plastic holding anything but MS69 or proof70 grades.

To put it in perspective, PCGS, out of the 10's of thousands of Morgans graded, has only given MS68 to one 1884O

That's what I thought. Can never tell with the dinosaur I'm using, though. Probably my imagination, but I switched to Retro skin, and it slowed, I think.

I've "lost" alot lately, including 4 16d's, but that pales in comparison to the one's that were gifts from people over the decades. I consider these pieces unique, as the people who gave them are no longer around.

What you have is a Type 2 planchet. I've seen these in NGC plastic for up to $20; they're around for a few bucks also.
