Parents got 3 $2 back in change from China Town while visiting New York.

The U.N. Peace coin is trippy.
-
Pulled a UNC 1989-D Kennedy from a roll last night. Just a few bag marks is all.
-
even so, it's a great coin for the price!
Yup! It blows my other Barber quarter away in the details department. The Merc was just too pretty to let slide
-
Nice pickups! That Barber has great details, but it looks like it got too close to the fire!
I thought the same thing. Ran my finger across it and no dirt or anything came off Oh well!

Not really a purchase but I did receive this token as a prize from a giveaway on CU. Coin is a bit darker than the image.
The reverse reads: "DISTRIBUTED BY EMPLOYES OF U.S. MINT DURING THE CELEBRATION OF PENNSYLVANIA'S BI-CENTENNIAL. OCT. 24, 1882."
-
Cool! I didn't know there was a double die variety of the Libertads.
-
Thanks for the comments everyone
Too bad the South Africa coin wasn't a proof, it would be worth about 30x what I paid. After a closer look I concluded it's just a really well struck UNC. They really do produce some very nice coinage.
-
Interesting. I wasn't aware bills also had "chop marks". I've seen them with stamps and such but nothing like those you posted.
Guess I need to start checking more carefully.

Picked up a few today at a shop.....1/2 off box rules
1958 Canada 50 Cent (paid less than bullion again, AU/MS)
1968 Canada 50 Cent
1942 Great Britain 1/2 Crown (paid less than bullion value)
1957 South Africa Penny (toned, UNC)
1997 South Africa 20 Cent (could be proof?)
1976 Trinidad & Tobago 10 Cent Proof

It is quite beautiful. At just the right angle the colors really "pop". I paid less than I expected to for it. Thanks for the comments
For those wondering, the Crowns are actual color. Got the color and quality down, now my image editting skills need some work (same size images would be nice).

Isle of Man makes a lot of different coins. I like quite a few of them, the one you posted as well.

I really like the Cameo Ikes. They're actually a beautiful coin in that condition.
They most certainly are. That's what attracted me to this (along with price).
This coin also doubled as being my first NGC slab. I'd like to get a collection of different slabs.
-
1972-S NGC PR68 Cameo Ike, has some nice blue haze on both sides.
-
Beautiful design. I've always had a thing for square coins.
-
If you need help with ID on these, just scan them.
I will later today Should be posted in the World Coin section around 1-2pm EST. Thanks Kuhli

Still, all a coin has to do is make me happy to land in my collection.
And that's all that matters. Bargain bins are my best friend. Pulled a MS Franklin out due to a very, very tiny rim ding (can't see it unless coin is turned on side)......$3.50
Not enough dealers have those kinds of boxes I can get 50 coins for $30 (other then Jefferson's, wheats, etc).

Nothing wrong with that coin, it just has character

Those are some of the coolest coins ever. Very inventive design and idea.
