  1. I'm confussed, does this coin have four sides?

Coin has tail of penny on one side and tail of dime on the other.  Flipside of coin(head of penny on one side, head of dime on the other)

If you going to tell a tall tail at least get it straight,

you misread th listing. The listed coin is T/T, and he is comparing his coin to another coin that was supposedly a H/H that sold for 140K.

The guy is still nuts for wasting his listing fees like that, but that should help it make a little more sense to you.

  3. how do you think ICG convinced him to go through them... or why did he contact them... i wonder

With a coin of this rarity, the particular certification company doesn't matter all that much (among the big 4) as the rarity will drive the price, not who certified it. So then the only thing the owner has to be concerned about is the longterm protection of the coin. With that in mind, many people think that the ICG does the best job of protecting coins from tarnishing, since they use the intercept shields in thier slabs. I'm not saying this is absolutly the reason he chose them, but it is something to consider...

  4. Just had him busted at the site. Found a closed auction on another site, same coin, in holder,

from a reputable dealer. Gee, guess what? The same guy has a CHINESE site, selling laptops. I'm gonna order a dozen, just for grins.

hmmm I guess the whole no Santa Claus saying is still true. If it looks too good to be true it probably is. The sad part is that people still fall for things like this and get themselves scammed. It really is too bad.
